No Factories, Yet a ₹240 Crore Business: This Indian Startup Just Raised ₹50 Crore
Gurugram-based CapGrid secures fresh funding to expand into drone manufacturing, data centres and precision engineering.
What if you could build a manufacturing business worth hundreds of crores without owning a single factory?
That's the model behind CapGrid, a Gurugram-based startup that has just raised ₹50 crore in a Pre-Series B funding round.
The investment was led by Hero Enterprise Venture Partners, with participation from Axilor Ventures, Anicut Capital, Nexus Venture Partners and angel investors.
Founded in 2021 by Dheeraj Tiwari and Himanshu Raghuvanshi, CapGrid helps major manufacturers source and manage industrial components through a network of third-party factories.
Instead of building factories itself, the startup uses technology to connect manufacturers with suppliers, manage production and improve supply chain efficiency.
And the numbers are getting interesting.
CapGrid reported operating revenue of approximately ₹240 crore in FY26 and is now targeting ₹350 crore in FY27.
The latest funding values the company at around ₹430 crore, according to co-founder Dheeraj Tiwari.
With fresh capital, CapGrid plans to develop advanced precision components and expand beyond automotive manufacturing into sectors such as drones and data centres.
As India strengthens its domestic manufacturing ecosystem, CapGrid is betting on a different approach to industrial growth.
You don't always need to own the factory to build a manufacturing business.
