What If Robots Delivered Medicines in Hospitals? This Startup Just Raised ₹40 Crore to Make It Happen
Ottonomy secures fresh funding to expand its AI-powered delivery robots across healthcare and industrial facilities.
Imagine a hospital where medicines and medical supplies move from one department to another without someone having to carry them.
That's the future Ottonomy is working towards.
The robotics startup, founded by Ritukar Vijay, has raised approximately ₹40.6 crore ($4.2 million) in a post-seed funding round, with participation from Japan-based Enrission India Capital.
Its flagship robot, Ottobot, is designed to move autonomously through indoor and outdoor spaces, transporting medicines, equipment and supplies.
Rather than replacing medical professionals, the technology aims to reduce the time they spend on routine logistics.
Ottonomy uses its proprietary Contextual AI technology to help robots navigate complex environments with minimal human intervention.
The company is also targeting factories and industrial facilities, where moving materials efficiently is an everyday operational challenge.
With the latest investment, Ottonomy plans to expand internationally and increase deployments in healthcare and industrial automation.
The challenge now will be proving that these robots can operate reliably and economically in busy, unpredictable environments.
For Ottonomy, the opportunity isn't just building robots. It's giving people more time to focus on the work that matters.
